A turf-covered enclosure, encircled by planets, stars and the elliptical orbits of comets. Timber-clad buildings rise out of the grass. Men emerge from holes in the ground. A clock dial surrounds the sun, whose tail is passing 7.30am. The date (26.VI) is Midsummer Day.

The inscriptions are from Charles Williams’ Taliessin Through Logres cycle of poems.
